Our Heritage: A Legacy of Quality
The foundation of AST Group was laid with Mr. Thaseen's keen eye for quality and his dedication to serving the community. He was the first to introduce Adoni tomatoes to Tamil Nadu, forever changing the landscape of the local market. As the business grew, his sons, Saleem and Kaleem, joined the venture, bringing their passion and expertise to the table. Together, they expanded the business, establishing AST Global Trading Pvt Ltd. and AST Farm Fresh, two companies that now operate under the AST Group umbrella.
Our Growth and Expansion
From the streets of Koyambedu to the thriving markets of Chennai and beyond, AST Group has grown significantly over the years. We have expanded our operations to include four wholesale stores and one retail supermarket, Ast Pazhamudir Nilayam, in Chennai. In response to growing demand, we recently opened a new wholesale store in Coimbatore and are excited to soon launch our retail operations there as well.
In the past year alone, we have achieved remarkable milestones, including the sale of over 13,000 metric tonnes of Nagpur oranges, 3,000 metric tonnes of mangoes, and 6,000 metric tonnes of pomegranates. We have also imported more than 30 containers of apples and oranges, further cementing our position as a leader in the fruit industry.
